Moscow Exchange expects 10 more IPOs, SPOs until end of 2021
MOSCOW, Jul 2 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Exchange expects around 10 initial public offerings (IPOs) and secondary public offerings (SPOs) to happen on the bourse until the end of 2021, CEO Yury Denisov said on Friday during the International Financial Congress.
“In general, I have a feeling that a second echelon of companies will come soon, which, as I see it, have expanded their businesses over the past few years, and which have expanded to a certain scale, this is why we expect all these placements. We expect about 10 placements to happen until the end of the year, including IPOs and SPOs. We are waiting for dozens of placements in the following years,” he said.
Over the past 18 months, the bourse had 15 share floatations, including five IPOs. In late June, United Medical Group CY, a company that manages a chain of private clinics called European Medical Centers, announced its plans to float global depositary receipts (GDRs) on the Moscow Exchange in an IPO.
